Red Rock Canyon - Las Vegas - Hiking - Biking - Rock Climbing

A very short drive from the Las Vegas Strip (30 minutes or so) and you are in a different world all together. It includes the opportunity to hike, at all different challenge levels, bike the 13 mile loop or rock climb at any level.     We are forever receiving calls and emails from people thinking about relocating to Las Vegas but none really have any idea about the community or what the area has to offer except for the adult night life associated with gaming, dining and shows. 

    The communities of Las Vegas, Henderson, Boulder City and North Las Vegas in southern Nevada offer some outstanding opportunities from snowboarding and skiing in the winter to the Lake Mead recreation area all spring, summer and fall.  Matt focuses on the National Conservation Area of Red Rock in his video. It's actually located 15 miles (24 km) west of Las Vegas. Depending on where you are staying on the strip or downtown Las Vegas, you may be able to see the beautiful Red Rock from your hotel window if you have a view to the west.

    Red Rock plays host to approximately one million visitors per year. Having raised a family here in Las Vegas I can tell you that my two daughters grew up taking hikes in the Red Rock Canyon. They learned  a lot about hiking, nature, big horn sheep and much much more.  

     Hikes are for various skill levels and you can stop into the information center for advice as to which hike would be right for you and your group.
